Ordering & Purchasing

What currency are your prices displayed in?

The currency displayed will change depending on your location. If we can’t pick up your location our default currency is NZD. To change currency on a desktop/laptop, just select a new one by clicking change in the top right hand corner above the social icons. To change currency on a tablet, select the menu drop-down list and then change currency is the second to bottom option. To change on a smartphone select menu then currency selection is the bottom option. At checkout your card will be charged in NZ dollars at the real time exchange rate, the same as what is displayed to you.

How is my credit card details safeguarded?

Your details are kept safe with 256 bit encryption which is the highest possible. But don’t take our word for it, click here to see our security certificate.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards including Visa, Master Card and American express. If you would like alternative payment options please send us an email.

What if the style, colour or size I want is not available?

Our products are somewhat seasonal which affects stock levels. If you are after a particular style or colour send us an email and we will be able to give you an estimate on its arrival back into stock.

What are the costs for shipping?

We offer free shipping for anywhere in NZ. Outside of this the shipping cost is calculated by weight. Simply add any products you are looking at into your shopping cart, and then under view cart enter your post code to get an exact shipping cost.

Who is responsible for duties/taxes on international shipping?

We mark packages to help avoid and duties or taxes entering foreign countries. However we cannot stop this and it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these fees.

How do I tell whether you have an item in stock?

If it’s available to purchase, then chances are it’s in stock. As we are the producer of all our products, if we don’t have something you order currently in stock, we will make it up straight away.  

Will I be charged any tax on my order?

Any applicable tax on orders is included in the price. Any duty tax charges that may be applied on overseas orders is the responsibility of the customer to pay.

Why should I choose to purchase from Classic Sheepskins?

Classic Sheepskins has been tanning and producing sheepskin goods for over 40 years. Our experience and eye for detail ensures our products are of the highest quality. When you buy something from Classic Sheepskins you have the safety in knowing it was made completely in New Zealand and captures the pure, clean quality that encapsulates this country.

Where are your products made?      

Completely in New Zealand by us! We do the whole process at one site. Our products are certified New Zealand made and carry the New Zealand made logo.

Which countries do you ship to?

All major countries.

 

After Purchase

Where did my order ship from?        

All orders get shipped straight from the factory in Napier, New Zealand. In some cases we may ship from our factory to a distributor in the UK we then ship them straight to your door. The only reason for this is to help you to avoid any duty payments.

How do I make a return or exchange?

If you have ordered the wrong product or size send it back with a paid return postage bag and we will make the exchange. If the product is faulty or we have made a mistake we will pay for all cost in fixing the problem. Any issues send us an email and we will be happy to help.

What is the return policy?

We don’t accept returns unless the product is faulty. If you order the wrong product we are happy to exchange it at your expense. If you think the product is faulty or you are unhappy with it, please send us an email or give us a call.

When will my order be shipped and how will I know it’s been shipped?

We attempt to ship all orders within a day. If the product needs to be made up, we will do our best to get it shipped within a few days. Once your order has been shipped you will receive an email letting you know.

Can I track the progress of my order?

We currently offer limited tracking on small orders. Large international orders we will track for you. Delivery on international orders can take between 5-15 working days depending on time of year. We know you're excited to receive your goods so any problems send us an email and we will be happy to help.
